Creative Sounds is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the encouragement of musical, artistic, and performance activities. We run a venue, recording studio, and rehearsal spaces known as The Stomach right here in Palmerston North.
Rehearsal Rooms
We’ve got two sound-treated rehearsal rooms, equipped with a drum-kit, guitars + amps, electric piano, and a vocal PA with microphones. You can rehearse for just $5-10.00 per hour, please get in touch to make a booking.
Venue Hire
All gigs/events at The Stomach are suspended until further notice. We are unable to accept bookings at this time due to Covid-19 restrictions. There is more info on this on our venue page.
Recording Studio
Super reasonable (subsidised) rates for professional recordings, audio editing, mixing, mastering, and more. Contact us to discuss your project with our sound engineer and to book studio time.

We’re a registered charity that relies on public funding and community support so that we can do all this great stuff for local music. Girls Rock! Pōneke Scholarship
The Stomach presents the first Girls Rock! Pōneke Scholarship. This scholarship is to support two young local musicians who identify as female, trans, or gender-non-conforming to attend the Wellington Girls Rock! Course in July 2020. Apply online now.
